Girls Lacrosse Spring Camp at CAL

Georgetown College will be hosting a Girls clinic on Saturday, February 4 at Christian Academy of Louisville (700 S English Station Rd, Louisville, KY 40245) from 10-2. Commonwealth Kings Tryout Dates Announced!

Tryout Info and Dates

Sunday, Feb. 5th HS Tryouts at Transylvania University
12:30 - 3pm: Grad Years 
2018, 2019, 2020s

Sunday, March 19th MS Tryouts at Shillito Park
1 - 3pm: Grad Years 2021, 2022, 2023s

 
There will be a $10 tryout fee.

Kings Lacrosse intends to field the following summer teams:

  • U11 Young Guns: Open to all current 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. All players must of have been born after August 31, 2005.
  • U13 Future: Open to all current Middle School players born after August 31, 2003. This team will primarily be composed of players in the 2021 and 2022 graduating class.
  • U15 Rising: Open to all current Middle School players born after August 31, 2001. No HS players are eligible. This team will primarily be composed of players in the 2021 graduating class (though some 2022s may be eligible).
  • HS Silver: Open to all current HS sophomores and freshman. 
  • HS Black: Open to all current HS juniors and sophomores though some freshman may be asked to play up.

Each team will be composed of 20 to 24 players and will participate in 3 great tournaments over the summer.

Level 1 (includes PCA Double Goal Coach 1 Workshop)

Where: Georgetown College (400 E College St, Georgetown, KY 40324)

Cost: $90 – includes lunch and clinic materials

Where: The Lexington School (TLS)

Cost: $90 – includes lunch and clinic materials

 

Level 2

When: January 29, 2017

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Where: Georgetown College (400 E College St, Georgetown, KY 40324)

Cost: $110 – includes lunch and clinic materials

 

**Please note that, all coaches in the KLA, Metro, and LYLA leagues are required to have at least one Level 1 certified coach on the sideline**

2017 Officials Convention Scholarship Announcement

Each year, US Lacrosse Officials Education Department provides scholarships to officials who would like to attend the US Lacrosse Convention. A total of $5,000 dollars has been awarded to officials attending the 2017 US Lacrosse National Convention in Baltimore, Md., Jan. 20-22. The quantity and amount of each scholarship, which ranges from $150 - $275 is determined by the applicant’s district (men’s game) or super region (women’s game).

If you are interested in Women's Lacrosse training opportunities - here are dates of upcoming training opportunities so you can make plans to attend.  We have schedule some in Louisville, Lexington, and Shelbyville hopefully accommodating everyone's availability.  You do not have to attend all these dates, just which ones work for you. However, the January/February dates are mandatory!
